“Minjerribah” otherwise known as South Stradbroke Island is a beautiful Island situated in the Australian State of Queensland is a home for hundreds of Wallabies. They can be easily found while camping or while relaxing on the Island and are famous for stealing breads from the tents.
The Island mainly consists of sand dunes, big palm trees, and more than 300 species of different variety of plants and trees. This Island is a famous tourist destination and is perfect for planning a day out with family.
It has many small separate venues which is used by people to book for some leisure time with family, to plan a wedding, camping and many more recreational activities such as jet ski tours, tube rides, 4 Wheel Drive tours, and speed boat rides. Among all, one of the famous venues is the “An Island Hideaway”.
This uniquely stunning venue is located on only a 45-minute calm-water cruise from the Gold Coast. This island paradise feels like an entire world away. With calm waterways on one side, untouched bushland in the centre, and pristine beach on the side, the natural beauty of this venue must be seen to be believed. On 26th Jan 2019 “Australia Day”, the Island hosted an adventure event in collaboration with “Spirit of Gold Coast Broadwater Cruises”. It was a day full of activities and adventure, at the same time providing a relaxed environment for the guests. The event included live music, activities and games, freshly cooked BBQ Lunch with some adventure finding exciting animals on the Island including Wallabies and a Goanna. The entire day was celebrated in “Aussie” style where the guests participated in “Toss the Thong” game, danced and sang along with Tameaka Powell from “The Voice Australia” and enjoyed a full range of Aussie style BBQ Lunch with unlimited cold drinks. The day was accompanied by a beautiful and relaxed cruise through the Broadwater for the guests to travel to and from the secluded Island venue. Several guests also did a bush-walk through the Island which is a perfect way to explore the Island, take in its surroundings, spotting animals in their natural habitat and having some “me” time walking beside the water and rainforest.
The venue is very well suited for hosting all sorts of events as well as enjoying a place away from the city chaos in a natural environment, where one can experience the natural beauty of the Island and ocean by its side.
